Gotta have goals.

This is something I used to say all the time as a catch all reply. Now it’s returning to my life as a reminder and a prompt.

This year I will workout 300 discrete times. A workout is at least 20 minutes of movement. I have a gym membership that includes a personal trainer (reservation based) and massage chairs. Plus, I like moving.

What I haven’t done yet is write down my current abilities to push and pull heavy things. Leg stuff mostly. But the rest of my body deserves some strength training, too, so I’ll take a look at that. Plus, adding the rest of my body gives me something more to do. If I go to the gym twice a day 3 days a week I’ll meet the goal. Also, I can split the movement among different body parts. I just made this decision but I already have 2 workouts in the books. Next check in will be at the end of this 12 week year (Q1 approximately) and I will have at least 75 workouts completed.
